Quran 32:4 Tafsir Al-Jalalayn
God is He Who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days the first of which was Sunday and the last of which was Friday then He presided upon the Throne al-‘arsh in the classical Arabic idiom denotes the seat of a king a presiding worthy of Him. You do not have O disbelievers of Mecca besides Him in other words other than Him any protector min waliyyin is the subject of the particle mā with the min added extra in other words any helper or intercessor to ward off His chastisement from you. Will you not then remember? this and become believers.
Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim
Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and all that lies in the space between in six days* determined by His own unit of time and proclaimed in His calendar. He then set Himself on the Throne of dominion, grace and mercy. Besides Him you have no tutelary guardian nor an intercessor; can you people not reflect
Quran 32:4 Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah is the Creator and Controller of the Universe
Allah tells us that He is the Creator of all things.
He created the heavens and earth and all that is between them in six days, then He rose over the Throne -- we have already discussed this matter elsewhere.
مَا لَكُمْ مِّن دُونِهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ شَفِيعٍ
( You have none, besides Him, as a protector or an intercessor ) means, only He is the Sovereign Who is in control of all affairs, the Creator of all things, the Controller of all things, the One Who is able to do all things.
There is no Creator besides Him, no intercessor except the one to whom He gives permission.
أَفَلاَ تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
( Will you not then remember ) -- this is addressed to those who worship others apart from Him and put their trust in others besides Him -- exalted and sanctified and glorified be He above having any equal, partner, supporter, rival or peer, there is no God or Lord except Him.
يُدَبِّرُ الاٌّمْرَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ إِلَى الاٌّرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ
( He directs the command from the heavens to the earth; then it will go up to Him, ) means, His command comes down from above the heavens to the furthest boundary of the seventh earth.
This is like the Ayah,
( It is Allah Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof.
The command descends between them, ) ( 65:12 ) Deeds are raised up to the place of recording above the lowest heaven.
The distance between heaven and earth is the distance of five hundred years traveling, and the thickness of the heaven is the distance of five hundred years.
Mujahid, Qatadah and Ad-Dahhak said, "The distance covered by the angel when he descends or ascends is the distance of five hundred years, but he covers it in the blink of an eye." Allah says:
فِى يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَذَلِكَ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَـدَةِ
( in one Day, the measurement of which is a thousand years of your reckoning.
That is He, the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, ) meaning, He is controlling all these affairs.
He sees all that His servants do, and all their deeds, major and minor, significant and insignificant, ascend to Him.
He is the Almighty Who has subjugated all things to His control, and to Whom everybody submits, and He is Most Merciful to His believing servants.
He is Almighty in His mercy and Most Merciful in His might.
This is perfection: might combined with mercy and mercy combined with might, for He is Merciful without any hint of weakness.
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(32:4) It is Allah *6 Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. *7 You have no guardian or intercessor other than He. Will you, then, not take heed? *8
It is Allah who created the heavens meaning
*6) Now the second objection of the mushriks which they raised against the Holy Prophet's message of Tauhid, is being dealt with: They were severely critical of him because he rejected their gods and saints and openly invited the people to the creed that there is no helper, no fulfiller of needs except Allah and no answerer of prayers, no remover of ills and no sovereign other than Him.
*7) For explanation, see E.N.
41 of Al-A'raf, E.N.
4 of Yunus and E.N.
3 of Ar-Ra'd.
*8) That is, " Your real God is the Creator of the heavens and earth.
But you in your folly have set up others than Him as your helpers and supporters in the vast 'Kingdom of this Universe.
The Creator of this whole Universe and whatever it contains is Allah.
Here, everything except Himself is created, and Allah has not gone to sleep after having created and made the world go.
But He Himself is the Ruler and Sovereign and Sustainer of His Kingdom.
Then, how senseless you are that you have set up a few of His creatures as the masters of your destinies ! If Allah dces not help you, none of them has the power to help you.
If Allah should seize you, none of them has the power to secure your liberty.
If Allah does not permit, none of them has the power to intercede for you before Him.
"

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
( Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them ) of creation and marvels, ( in six Days ) the days of the beginning of creation which equal 1,000 years of the years of the life of this world; the first day being Sunday and the last Friday. ( Then He mounted the throne ) Allah was on the Throne before He created them. ( Ye have not ) O people of Mecca, ( beside Him, a protecting friend ) a relative to help you ( or mediator ) to intercede for you in order for you to forgo Allah’s punishment. ( Will ye not then remember ) will you then not take admonition through the Qur’an and accept faith?
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
Allah it is He Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them in six Days. Then He Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). You (mankind) have none, besides Him, as a Wali (protector or helper etc.) or an intercessor. Will you not then remember (or be admonished)?
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
