Surah Maryam ayat 57 Tafsir Quran 19:57

﴿وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا﴾
[ مريم: 57]

19:57 And We raised him to a high station.

And We raised him to a high station — he is alive in the fourth or sixth or seventh heaven or he is in Paradise into which he was admitted after he was made to experience death and brought back to life and he has not exited therefrom.

We exalted him and ennobled him and graced him with a lofty position

And mention in the Book, Idris.
Verily, he was a man of truth, ( and ) a Prophet ( 56 )And We raised him to a high station ( 57 ) Mentioning Idris Allah complimented Idris for being a truthful Prophet and He mentioned that he raised him to a high station.
It has previously been mentioned that in the Sahih it is recorded that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Idris on the night of the Isra ( Night Journey ) and he ( Idris ) was in the fourth heaven.
Sufyan reported from Mansur that Mujahid said, وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا ( And We raised him to a high station. ) "This means the fourth heaven." Al-Hasan and others said concerning Allah's statement, وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا ( And We raised him to a high station. ) "This means Paradise."

(19:57) and We had raised him to a high position. *34

And We raised him to a high meaning

*34) The plain meaning is that God had favoured Idris with a high rank, but according to the Israelite traditions, God took up Idris ( Enoch ) to heavens.
The Bible says: " ...
and he was not; for God took him ", but the Talmud has a long story to tell, which ends with the words: " Enoch ascended to heaven in a whirlwind, with chariot and horses of fire. "
 

And mention in the Book, Idris.
