Surah Tawbah ayat 88 Tafsir Quran 9:88

﴿لَٰكِنِ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ جَاهَدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الْخَيْرَاتُ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ﴾
[ التوبة: 88]

9:88 But the Messenger and those who believed with him fought with their wealth and their lives. Those will have [all that is] good, and it is those who are the successful.

But the Messenger and those who believe with him strive with their wealth and their lives for them are the good things in this life and in the Hereafter; those they are the successful the triumphant.

But the Messenger together with those who fell in line with him strove with their wealth and their lives to implement their obligation to Allah Whose purpose is the heart of their purpose. These are the recipients of Allahs grace and of all that is good to attain and it is these whom heaven hall prosper

After Allah mentioned the sins of the hypocrites, He praised the faithful believers and described their reward in the Hereafter, لَـكِنِ الرَّسُولُ وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُ جَـهَدُواْ ( But the Messenger and those who believed with him strove hard and fought ) until the end of these two Ayat 9:88-89.
This describes the qualities, as well as, the reward of faithful believers.
Allah said, وَأُوْلَـئِكَ لَهُمُ الْخَيْرَاتُ ( Such are they for whom are the good things ), in the Hereafter, in the gardens of Al-Firdaws and the high grades.

( But the messenger ) Muhammad ( pbuh ) ( and those who believe ) in secret and in the open ( with him strive with their wealth and their lives ) in the way of Allah. ( Such are they for whom are the good things ) accepted good deeds in the life of this world; it is also said that the good things means: beautiful maidens in the Hereafter. ( Such are they who are the successful ) those who escape Allah’s wrath and torment.

But the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) and those who believed with him (in Islamic Monotheism) strove hard and fought with their wealth and their lives (in Allah's Cause). Such are they for whom are the good things, and it is they who will be successful.
