11:89 And O my people, let not [your] dissension from me cause you to be struck by that similar to what struck the people of Noah or the people of Hud or the people of Salih. And the people of Lot are not from you far away.

Quran 11:89 Tafsir Al-Jalalayn
And O my people let not the breach with me the dispute you have with me shiqāqī ‘the breach with me’ is the subject of the verb yajrimannakum ‘make you deserve’ in which the suffixed pronoun -kum ‘you’ constitutes the first direct object the second being what follows make you deserve earn you as punishment that there befall you the like of what befell the people of Noah or the people of Hūd or the people of Sālih in the way of chastisement; and the people of Lot that is their dwelling-places or the era in which they were destroyed are not far away from you so take heed of this.
Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim
My people, he said: do not let my diversity of opinion and purpose incite you to sink deeper under the vexations of your minds lest you should be destined to suffer the same fate suffered by the people of Nuh or the people of Hud or the people of Saleh nor are the people of Lut far off from you chronologically, chronographically nor geographically
Quran 11:89 Tafsir Ibn Kathir
( And O my people! Let not my Shiqaq cause you ) This means, "Do not let your hatred and enmity of me cause you to persist in your corruption and disbelief.
If you continue this way, you will suffer the same vengeance and torment that overcame Nuh's people, Hud's people, Salih's people and Lut's people." Qatadah said,
( And O my people! Let not my Shiqaq cause you ) "He is saying, `Do not be influenced by your differing with me."' As-Suddi said, "This means your enmity of me should not lead you to continue in misguidance and disbelief, or else you will be afflicted by what afflicted them." Concerning His statement,
( and the people of Lut are not far off from you! ) It has been said that this refers to the period of time.
Qatadah said, "This means that they were only destroyed before you yesterday." It has also been said that it refers to place.
Actually, the verse carries both meanings.
( And ask forgiveness of your Lord ) from the previous sins.
( and turn unto Him in repentance. ) In whatever evil actions you may encounter in the future.
Concerning his statement,
( Verily, my Lord is Most Merciful, Most Loving. ) to those who repent.
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(11:89) My people! Let not your opposition to me lead you to guilt that would bring upon you the chastisement that struck earlier the people of Noah, and the people of Hud, and the people of Salih. And the land of the people of Lot is not far from you! *100

Shu'ayb reminded his people of the story of the people of Lot ( peace be on him ).
This tragic episode took place not far from where the people of Shu'ayb lived.
In addition, it was no more than six or seven centuries previously that the people of Lot were utterly destroyed.

( And, O my people! Let not the schism with me cause you to sin ) let not your hatred and enmity of me cause you not to believe or do justice in measure and weighing ( so that there befall you that which befell the folk of Noah ) i.e. the chastisement of the people of Noah: drowning and the flood ( and the folk of Hud ) their destruction by the wind, ( and the folk of Salih ) their destruction by the Cry; ( and the folk of Lot ) the news of the folk of Lot ( are not far off from you ) you heard what happened to them.
