﴿فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعْتُهَا أُنثَىٰ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتْ وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ كَالْأُنثَىٰ ۖ وَإِنِّي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ﴾
[ آل عمران: 36]
Falamma wadaAAat-ha qalat rabbi innee wadaAAtuha ontha wallahu aAAlamu bima wadaAAat walaysa aththakaru kalontha wa-innee sammaytuha maryama wa-innee oAAeethuha bika wathurriyyataha mina ashshaytani arrajeem

English translation of the meaning
But when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allah was most knowing of what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allah]."

پھر جب وہ بچی اس کے ہاں پیدا ہوئی تو اس نے کہا "مالک! میرے ہاں تو لڑکی پیدا ہو گئی ہے حالانکہ جو کچھ اس نے جنا تھا، اللہ کو اس کی خبر تھی اور لڑکا لڑ کی کی طرح نہیں ہوتا خیر، میں نے اس کا نام مریمؑ رکھ دیا ہے اور میں اسے اور اس کی آئندہ نسل کو شیطان مردود کے فتنے سے تیری پناہ میں دیتی ہوں"

Then when she delivered her [child Maryam (Mary)], she said: "O my Lord! I have delivered a female child," - and Allah knew better what she delivered, - "And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Maryam (Mary), and I seek refuge with You (Allah) for her and for her offspring from Shaitan (Satan), the outcast."

Maka ketika melahirkannya, dia berkata, “Ya Tuhanku, aku telah melahirkan anak perempuan.” Padahal Allah lebih tahu apa yang dia lahirkan, dan laki-laki tidak sama dengan perempuan. ”Dan aku memberinya nama Maryam, dan aku mohon perlindungan-Mu untuknya dan anak cucunya dari (gangguan) setan yang terkutuk.”

(3:36) But when she gave birth to a female child, she said: 'O Lord! I have given birth to a female' - and Allah knew full well what she had given birth to - 'and a female is not the same as a male. *34 I have named her Mary and commit her and her offspring to You for protection from Satan, the accursed.'
Falammaa waqa`athaa qaalat Rabbi innee wada`tuhaaa unsaa wallaahu a`lamu bimaa wada`at wa laisaz zakaru kalunsaa wa innee sammaituhaa Maryama wa innee u`eezuhaa bika wa zurriyyatahaa minash Shaitaanir Rajeem
*34). Since a boy is free from some of the physical shortcomings and social disabilities associated with a girl, the mother of Mary thought that had the child been a boy he would have been more able to achieve the purpose for which she had consecrated the child.
