﴿إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّةً ۚ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ﴾

inna 'iddatasy-syuhụri 'indallāhiṡnā 'asyara syahran fī kitābillāhi yauma khalaqas-samāwāti wal-arḍa min-hā arba'atun ḥurum, żālikad-dīnul-qayyimu fa lā taẓlimụ fīhinna anfusakum wa qātilul-musyrikīna kāffatang kamā yuqātilụnakum kāffah, wa'lamū annallāha ma'al-muttaqīn

English translation of the meaning

Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him].

حقیقت یہ ہے کہ مہینوں کی تعداد جب سے اللہ نے آسمان و زمین کو پیدا کیا ہے اللہ کے نوشتے میں بارہ ہی ہے، اور ان میں سے چار مہینے حرام ہیں یہی ٹھیک ضابطہ ہے لہٰذا ان چار مہینوں میں اپنے اوپر ظلم نہ کرو اور مشرکوں سے سب مل کر لڑو جس طرح وہ سب مل کر تم سے لڑتے ہیں اور جان رکھو کہ اللہ متقیوں ہی کے ساتھ ہے

Verily, the number of months with Allah is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are Sacred, (i.e. the 1st, the 7th, the 11th and the 12th months of the Islamic calendar). That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein, and fight against the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) collectively, as they fight against you collectively. But know that Allah is with those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).

Sesungguhnya jumlah bulan menurut Allah ialah dua belas bulan, (sebagaimana) dalam ketetapan Allah pada waktu Dia menciptakan langit dan bumi, di antaranya ada empat bulan haram. Itulah (ketetapan) agama yang lurus, maka janganlah kamu menzalimi dirimu dalam (bulan yang empat) itu, dan perangilah kaum musyrikin semuanya sebagaimana mereka pun memerangi kamu semuanya. Dan ketahuilah bahwa Allah beserta orang-orang yang takwa.
