surah Hijr aya 10 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ الْأَوَّلِينَ﴾
[ الحجر: 10]
15:10 And We had certainly sent [messengers] before you, [O Muhammad], among the sects of the former peoples.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishO Messenger, I sent before you messengers to prior groups of disbelievers and they belied them.
So you are not an exceptional messenger from the perspective of being made out as a liar by your people.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
Indeed, We sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad SAW) amongst the sects (communities) of old.

Walaqad arsalna min qablika fee shiyaAAi alawwaleena
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
We did send messengers before thee amongst the religious sects of old:
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
Indeed, We sent (Messengers) before you (O Muhammad) amongst the earlier communities.
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
