surah Hud aya 118 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً ۖ وَلَا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ﴾
[ هود: 118]
11:118 And if your Lord had willed, He could have made mankind one community; but they will not cease to differ.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishIf your Lord, O Messenger, willed to make people one nation on the truth, He would have done so; but He did not will that, so they continue to differ with respect to it because of their following their desires and doing wrong.

And if your Lord had so willed, He could surely have made mankind one Ummah [nation or community (following one religion only i.e. Islam)], but they will not cease to disagree,

If thy Lord had so willed, He could have made mankind one people: but they will not cease to dispute.
