surah Araf aya 83 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ﴾
[ الأعراف: 83]
7:83 So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was of those who remained [with the evildoers].
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishSo Allah saved Lot and his family by instructing them to leave the city by night.
His family were saved except for his wife, who remained behind in the city and suffered the same punishment as the rest.

Then We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind (in the torment).

Faanjaynahu waahlahu illa imraatahu kanat mina alghabireena

But we saved him and his family, except his wife: she was of those who legged behind.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
Then We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was of the Ghabirin (those who lagged behind).
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".

*66). As the Qur'an mentions elsewhere, Lot's wife supported her disbelieving relatives to the last.* Hence, when God directed Lot and his followers to migrate from that corrupt land, He ordained that Lot's wife be left behind.
*This seems to be an inference from al- Tahrim 66: 10 - Ed.
