﴿بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ﴾
[ الصافات: 12]
37:12 But you wonder, while they mock,
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishO Muhammad! You are amazed at the power of Allah and His management of the affairs of His creation; you are astonished at the idolaters rejecting the resurrection.
While these idolaters mock at what you say regarding the resurrection, due to their extreme denial of it.

Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran).

Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule,
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
Nay, you wondered while they mock.
