surah Anam aya 23 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُن فِتْنَتُهُمْ إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا وَاللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَ﴾
[ الأنعام: 23]
6:23 Then there will be no [excuse upon] examination except they will say, "By Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated."
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishAfter this test, they will have no excuse and they will declare themselves free of what they worshipped, by dishonestly saying: By Allah, our Lord, we did not associate partners with You in the world; but we had faith in You and we accepted Your Oneness.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
There will then be (left) no Fitnah (excuses or statements or arguments) for them but to say: "By Allah, our Lord, we were not those who joined others in worship with Allah."

Thumma lam takun fitnatuhum illa an qaloo waAllahi rabbina ma kunna mushrikeena
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
There will then be (left) no subterfuge for them but to say: "By Allah our Lord, we were not those who joined gods with Allah."
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
There will then be (left) no Fitnah for them but to say: "By Allah, our Lord, we were not those who joined others (in worship with Allah)."
