﴿قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ﴾

51:32 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe angels said in reply: “Allah has sent us to a criminal people who commit despicable sins.

They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah);

Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeena

They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;-
