18:75 [Al-Khidh r] said, "Did I not tell you that with me you would never be able to have patience?"

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Khidr said to Moses ( peace be upon him ): “I had said To You: O Moses, you will never be able to bear the matter I will carry out”.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

(Khidr) said: "Did I not tell you that you can have no patience with me?"

Qala alam aqul laka innaka lan tastateeAAa maAAiya sabran

He answered: "Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?"
