Verse 87 from surah Az-Zukhruf

﴿وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ﴾
[ الزخرف: 87]

43:87 And if you asked them who created them, they would surely say, "Allah." So how are they deluded?

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

And if you ask them, “Who created you?” they would definitely say, “Allah created us”, so how can they then turn away from His worship after this acknowledgement?

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say: "Allah". How then are they turned away (from the worship of Allah, Who created them)?

Walain saaltahum man khalaqahum layaqoolunna Allahu faanna yufakoona

If thou ask them, who created them, they will certainly say, Allah: How then are they deluded away (from the Truth)?

(43:87) If you were to ask them: 'Who created them?' they will surely say: 'Allah.' *69 Whence are they, then, being led astray?

*69) This verse has two meanings: (1) "If you ask them who has created them, they will say: Allah"; and (2) "lf you ask them who is the Creator of their gods, they will say: Allah."
