And those they invoke other than Allah create nothing, and they [themselves] (16:20)

﴿وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ﴾
[ النحل: 20]

16:20 And those they invoke other than Allah create nothing, and they [themselves] are created.

Those whom the idolaters worship besides Allah, do not create anything no matter how little.
Those who worship them besides Allah are the ones who make them.
How do they worship besides Allah those idols which they make with their own hands?!

Those whom they (Al-Mushrikun) invoke besides Allah have not created anything, but are themselves created.

phonetic Transliteration

Waallatheena yadAAoona min dooni Allahi la yakhluqoona shayan wahum yukhlaqoona

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

Those whom they invoke besides Allah create nothing and are themselves created.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

Those whom they invoke besides Allah have not created anything, but are themselves created.
