surah Sad aya 60 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿قَالُوا بَلْ أَنتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِكُمْ ۖ أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ﴾
[ ص: 60]
38:60 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement."
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe group of followers will say to their leaders who were followed: “But rather you, O leaders who were followed, no welcome to you, as you are what caused us this painful punishment by misguiding us and leading us astray”.
What a terrible settlement this is, the settlement of hell fire for them all.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
(The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!"
phonetic Transliteration
Qaloo bal antum la marhaban bikum antum qaddamtumoohu lana fabisa alqararu
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
(The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!"
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
(The followers will say to those who misled): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you who brought this upon us, so evil is this place to stay in!"
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
38:60 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], translate in arabic
قالوا بل أنتم لا مرحبا بكم أنتم قدمتموه لنا فبئس القرار

(38:60) They will reply: 'Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!'
