surah Zukhruf aya 60 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنكُم مَّلَائِكَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ﴾
[ الزخرف: 60]
43:60 And if We willed, We could have made [instead] of you angels succeeding [one another] on the earth.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishO children of Adam! If I wish to destroy you and make the angels succeed you on earth in your place, they would worship Me and not ascribe partners with me at all.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
And if it were Our Will, We would have [destroyed you (mankind) all, and] made angels to replace you on the earth. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol: 25, Page 89].

Walaw nashao lajaAAalna minkum malaikatan fee alardi yakhlufoona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
And if it were Our Will, We could make angels from amongst you, succeeding each other on the earth.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
And if it were Our will, We would have made angels to replace you on the earth.
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
