﴿لَا يَزَالُ بُنْيَانُهُمُ الَّذِي بَنَوْا رِيبَةً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَّا أَن تَقَطَّعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ﴾
[ التوبة: 110]
9:110 Their building which they built will not cease to be a [cause of] skepticism in their hearts until their hearts are stopped. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

Quran 9:110 Tafsir Al-Jalalayn
The buildings which they have built will never cease to be a misgiving a point of doubt in their hearts unless their hearts are cut torn to pieces such that they die; and God is Knower of His creatures Wise in what He does with them.
Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim
Their building which, crumbled to pieces in the fire of Hell shall not cease to be the cause of mental pain, sorrow and distress to their hearts, alarm and suspicion to their conscience until the day their hearts are crushed with sorrow and the day they die, and Allah is Alimun and Hakimun

The Difference between Masjid At-Taqwa and Masjid Ad-Dirar
Allah the Exalted says that the Masjid that has been built on the basis of Taqwa of Allah and His pleasure is not the same as a Masjid that was been built based on causing harm, disbelief and causing division among the believers, and as an outpost for those who warred against Allah and His Messenger .
The latter built their Masjid on the edge of a steep hole,
فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَاللَّهُ لاَ يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الظَّـلِمِينَ
( into the fire of Hell.
And Allah guides not the people who are the wrongdoers. ), Allah does not bring aright the works of those who commit mischief.
Jabir bin `Abdullah said, "I saw the Masjid that was built to cause harm with smoke rising up from it, during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." Allah's statement,
لاَ يَزَالُ بُنْيَانُهُمُ الَّذِى بَنَوْاْ رِيبَةً فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ
( The building which they built will never cease to be a cause of doubt in their hearts ) and hypocrisy.
Because of this awful action that they committed, they inherited hypocrisy in their hearts, just as those who worshipped the calf were inclined to adoring it.
Allah said next,
إِلاَّ أَن تَقَطَّعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ
( unless their hearts are cut to pieces. ) until they die, according to Ibn `Abbas, Mujahid, Qatadah, Zayd bin Aslam, As-Suddi, Habib bin Abi Thabit, Ad-Dahhak, `Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam and several other scholars of the Salaf.
وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ
( And Allah is All-Knowing, ) of the actions of His creation,
حَكِيمٌ
( All-Wise. ) in compensating them for their good or evil actions.
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(9:110) This building which they have built will never cease to create doubts in their hearts (from which there is no way to come outunless it be that their hearts are cut into pieces: *105 and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

these hypocrites have deprived their hearts of the capability of receiving and accepting faith by the commission of the most heinous sin of building a `mosque' to do harm to that very Islam for the propagation of which mosques are built.
This crime has set the desire of disbelief so deep in their hearts that it will remain there as long as they are alive and will leave them only at the time of death when their hearts will cease to beat in their breasts.
Obviously, the case of such people is quite different from that of those unbelievers, who openly build idol-temples or openly make preparations for war against God.
For it is possible that such a one may get Guidance just because he is honest, sincere and bold.
Moreover, his open antagonism shows that he has the courage of his convictions and may, therefore, accept Islam, when he would be convinced of its Truth.
But there is no hope for that cowardly lying and cunning man who builds a 'mosque' for the service of kufr and puts on the garb of God-worship for fighting against Allah's Way.
This is because a conduct like this kills all the noble sentiments within him and renders him utterly incapable of understanding and accepting Islam.

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
( The building which they built will never cease to be ) after its destruction ( a misgiving ) a distress and a regret ( in their hearts unless their hearts be torn to pieces ) unless they die. ( Allah is Knower ) of their building of a mosque of opposition as well as of their intentions, ( Wise ) when He ordained the destruction and burning of this mosque. After returning from the Battle of Tabuk, the Prophet ( pbuh ) sent ’Amir Ibn Qays and Wahshiyy, the client of Mut’am Ibn ’Adiyy, who destroyed and burnt this mosque of opposition.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
The building which they built will never cease to be a cause of hypocrisy and doubt in their hearts, unless their hearts are cut to pieces. (i.e. till they die). And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
