Surah Al Fath ayat 22 Tafsir Quran 48:22

﴿وَلَوْ قَاتَلَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوَلَّوُا الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُونَ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا﴾
[ الفتح: 22]

48:22 And if those [Makkans] who disbelieve had fought you, they would have turned their backs [in flight]. Then they would not find a protector or a helper.

And if those who disbelieve had fought you at al-Hudaybiyya they would have turned their backs to flee — then they would not have found any protector to guard them or helper.

Had the infidels warred against you -at Hodaibyiah- they would have withdrawn hastily and taken flight and never would they have found any who would fight for their safety nor any who would afford them help

(48:22) Had the unbelievers fought against you at that time, they would have turned their backs (in flight), and would have found none to protect or help them. *41

And if those [Makkans] who disbelieve had meaning

*41) That is, " Allah did not prevent fighting at Hudaibiyah because there was a possibility of your being defeated there, but there were other reasons for it, which are being stated in the following verses.
Had that factor not been there and AIlah had allowed the war to take place, the disbelievers would surely have been routed and Makkah would have fallen to you at that very time.
"
 

( And if those who disbelieve ) Asad, Ghatafan along with Khaybar ( join battle with you they will take to flight ) defeated, ( and afterward they will find no protecting friend ) to prevent you from killing them ( nor helper ) who can prevent their killing and defeat.

And if those who disbelieve fight against you, they certainly would have turned their backs, then they would have found neither a Wali (protector) nor a helper.
