Quran 26:35 Tafsir Al-Jalalayn
who seeks to expel you from your land by his sorcery. So what do you advise?’
Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim
He means, Pharaoh added, To oust you people of your land and drive you away. Therefore, what course of action do you suggest we should take in the face of this problem
Quran 26:35 Tafsir Ibn Kathir
After the Rational Proof, Fir`awn resorts to Force
When proof had been established against Fir`awn, clearly and rationally, he resorted to using force against Musa, thinking that after this there would no further room for discussion.
So he said:
( If you choose a god other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners. ) To this, Musa responded:
أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىءٍ مُّبِينٍ
( Even if I bring you something manifest ) meaning, clear and definitive proof.
( Fir`awn said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" So he threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. ) meanig, it was very clear and obvious, with a huge body and a big mouth, terrifying in appearance.
( And he drew out his hand, ) meaning, from his sleeve,
( and behold, it was white to all beholders! ) It was shining like a piece of the moon.
Since Fir`awn was already doomed, he hastened to stubborn denial, and said to the chiefs around him:
إِنَّ هَـذَا لَسَـحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
( Verily, this is indeed a well-versed sorcerer. ) One who knows a great deal of magic or witchcraft.
Fir`awn was trying to convince them that this was sorcery, not a miracle.
Then he provoked them against Musa, trying to make them oppose him and disbelieve in him, and said:
يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِّنْ أَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهِ
( He wants to drive you out of your land by his sorcery... ) meaning, `he wants to capture the people's hearts and win them over by doing this, so that they will support him, and help him and follow him, and he will defeat you in your own land and take the land from you.
So advise me, what should I do with him'
( They said: "Put him off and his brother, and send callers to the cities; to bring up to you every well-versed sorcerer." ) meaning, `delay him and his brother until you gather together all the sorcerers from every city and region of your kingdom so that they may confront him and produce something like he produces, then you will defeat him and have the victory.' So Fir`awn did as they suggested, which is what Allah decreed would happen to them, so that all the people would gather in one place and the signs and proof of Allah would be made manifest before them all in one day.
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(26:35) he wants to drive you out of your land by means of his magic. *29 Now, what is your command ?" *30
He wants to drive you out of meaning
*29) The impact of the two miracles can be judged from the fact that a moment before this Pharaoh was calling Moses a mad man, because he had claimed to be a Prophet and had had the boldness to openly demand release of the Israelites.
He was also threatening Moses that if he took somebody else as Lord instead of him, he would cast him into the prison for life.
But, after he had seen the Signs, he became so terror-stricKen that he felt his kingdom to be at stake, and in his contusion he did not realize that he was talking meaninglessly to his servants in the court.
Two men from the oppressed community of the Israelites were standing before the most powerful ruler of the time: they had no military force with them, they belonged to a weak and lifeless community, and there was no sign of any rebellion in any corner of the country, nor did they have the support of any foreign power, yet as soon as the miracles of the snake of the staff and the shining hand were shown, the tyrant desperately cried out: " These two men want to seize power and deprive the ruling class of their sovereign rights! " His apprehension that Moses would do so by force of his magic again reflected a confused state of mind, for nowhere in the world has a political revolution been ever brought about, nor a country taken, nor a war won merely by force of tragic.
There were many magicians in Egypt, who could perform masterly tricks of tragic, but Pharaoh knew it well that they were nonentities because they performed magic only for the sake of rewards.
*30) 30.
This sentence further shows Pharaoh's perplexed state of mind.
A moment before he was the deity of his courtiers and, now, struck by awe, the deity is asking his servants as to what he should do to meet the dangerous situation.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
"He wants to drive you out of your land by his sorcery, then what is it your counsel, and what do you command?"
