﴿قَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ﴾
[ الأعراف: 109]
7:109 Said the eminent among the people of Pharaoh, "Indeed, this is a learned magician
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe notables and leaders said once they witnessed the transformation of the stick and the whiteness of his hand: 'Moses is nothing but a skilled and masterful magician.

Qala almalao min qawmi firAAawna inna hatha lasahirun AAaleemun

Said the Chiefs of the people of Pharaoh: "This is indeed a sorcerer well-versed.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
The chiefs of the people of Fir`awn said: "This is indeed a well-versed sorcerer."
