Verse 19 from surah Al-Maidah

﴿يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَىٰ فَتْرَةٍ مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُوا مَا جَاءَنَا مِن بَشِيرٍ وَلَا نَذِيرٍ ۖ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُم بَشِيرٌ وَنَذِيرٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ﴾

English - Sahih International

5:19 O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger to make clear to you [the religion] after a period [of suspension] of messengers, lest you say, "There came not to us any bringer of good tidings or a warner." But there has come to you a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And Allah is over all things competent.

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

O People of the Scripture, Jews and Christians, My messenger Muhammad ( peace be upon him ) has come to you after a period when there were no messengers and when there was a real need for his mission, so that you do not say as an excuse, ‘No messenger came to us bringing good news of Allah’s reward nor any warning of His punishment’.
Muhammad ( peace be upon him ) has come to you to give you good news of My reward and warn you of My punishment.
I am able to do all things.
Nothing is outside My ability.
It is through My power that I sent the messengers and I sent Muhammad ( peace be upon him ) as the final messenger.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad SAW) making (things) clear unto you, after a break in (the series of) Messengers, lest you say: "There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner." But now has come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner. And Allah is Able to do all things.

Ya ahla alkitabi qad jaakum rasooluna yubayyinu lakum AAala fatratin mina alrrusuli an taqooloo ma jaana min basheerin wala natheerin faqad jaakum basheerun wanatheerun waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

O People of the Book! Now hath come unto you, making (things) clear unto you, Our Messenger, after the break in (the series of) our messengers, lest ye should say: "There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner (from evil)": But now hath come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner (from evil). And Allah hath power over all things.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

O People of the Scripture! There he is -the Prophet Muhammad- in your midst, who has been sent to you all as a spectacle and a warning, and Allah is Qadirun to effect all in all

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(5:19) People of the Book! After a long interlude during which no Messengers have appeared there has come to you Our Messenger to elucidate the teaching of the true faith lest you say: 'No bearer of glad tidings and no warner has come to us.' For now there indeed has come to you a bearer of glad tidings and a warner, Allah is All-Power-ful. *41

O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger meaning

*41). In the present context this sentence is extremely eloquent and subtle. It signifies that the same God who had sent warners and bearers of glad tidings to men in the past has now sent Muhammad (peace be on him) with the same task. At the same time it also means that they {should not treat the message of this warner and bearer of glad tidings lightly. They should bear in mind that if they disregard the injunctions of God, He can chastise them as He wills, for He is All-Powerful and All-Mighty.

O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger meaning in Urdu

اے اہل کتاب! ہمارا یہ رسول ایسے وقت تمہارے پاس آیا ہے اور دین کی واضح تعلیم تمہیں دے رہا ہے جبکہ رسولوں کی آمد کا سلسلہ ایک مدت سے بند تھا، تاکہ تم یہ نہ کہہ سکو کہ ہمارے پاس کوئی بشارت دینے والا اور ڈرانے والا نہیں آیا سو دیکھو! اب وہ بشارت دینے اور ڈرانے والا آ گیا اور اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے
