﴿هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَىٰ أَجَلًا ۖ وَأَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى عِندَهُ ۖ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ﴾
[ الأنعام: 2]

English - Sahih International

6:2 It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute.

Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

He, may He be glorified, is the One Who created you, O people, from clay when He created your father, Adam ( peace be upon him ) from it.
Then He, may He be glorified, fixed a period for your stay in the life of the world.
He also fixed another term, which only He knows, when He will raise you back to life on the Day of Rising.
Despite this, you still doubt about His ability to raise you back to life.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

He it is Who has created you from clay, and then has decreed a stated term (for you to die). And there is with Him another determined term (for you to be resurrected), yet you doubt (in the Resurrection).

Huwa allathee khalaqakum min teenin thumma qada ajalan waajalun musamman AAindahu thumma antum tamtaroona

He it is created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term (for you). And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves!
