surah Al-Haqqah aya 25 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ﴾
[ الحاقة: 25]
69:25 But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishAs for the one who will be given his book of deeds in his left hand, he will say out of extreme regret, “If only I had not been given my book of deeds, because of the evil deeds deserving punishment within it.

Waamma man ootiya kitabahu bishimalihi fayaqoolu ya laytanee lam oota kitabiyah

And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me!
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record!"

*15) In Surah Al-Inshiqaq it has been said: "And the one whose record is given him behind his back..." Probably it will be like this: As the culprit would already be knowing that he was a culprit, and would be aware of what his record contained, he would dejectedly extend his left hand forward to receive it, and then would immediately hide it behind his back so that no one else saw what he had received.
*16) That is, "1 should not have been given this record in the Plain of Assembly and thus publicly disgraced before all mankind, but should have been awarded secretly whatever punishment I deserved.

اور جس کا نامہ اعمال اُس کے بائیں ہاتھ میں دیا جائے گا وہ کہے گا "کاش میرا اعمال نامہ مجھے نہ دیا گیا ہوتا
