surah Shuara aya 39 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ﴾
[ الشعراء: 39]
26:39 And it was said to the people, "Will you congregate
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe people were told: Are you going to gather to see who wins? Will it be Moses or the magicians?

And it was said to the people: "Are you (too) going to assemble?
phonetic Transliteration
Waqeela lilnnasi hal antum mujtamiAAoona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
And the people were told: "Are ye (now) assembled?-
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
And it was said to the people: "Are you (too) going to assemble"

And the people were urged by one another to attend the event so that all of them would come into conformity with the wish that all be present. Expressing their thoughts in words, they added

*32) That is, besides proclamation heralds were sent to urge the people to come and see the contest. It appears that the news of the miracle shown by Prophet Moses before the packed court had reached the common people also, and Pharaoh fearing that the people at large might be influenced, wanted that they should come together in large numbers so that they could see for themselves that turning a staff into a snake had nothing extraordinary in it because such a trick could be performed by every common magician of their own country as well.
