surah Raad aya 6 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
13:6 They impatiently urge you to bring about evil before good, while there has already occurred before them similar punishments [to what they demand]. And indeed, your Lord is full of forgiveness for the people despite their wrongdoing, and indeed, your Lord is severe in penalty.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe idolaters ask you, O Messenger, to bring on the punishment and they enquire as to why it is taking so long to come on them before they completely enjoy the favours that Allah has decreed for them.
Many such punishments have come before on people like them from the nations who disbelieved.
Why do they not take a lesson from them? Your Lord, O Messenger, is one who pardons people despite their wrongdoing.
He, therefore, does not rush to take retribution from them giving them a chance to repent to Allah.
He is truly severe in punishing those who persist in their denial if they do not repent.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
They ask you to hasten the evil before the good, yet (many) exemplary punishments have indeed occurred before them. But verily, your Lord is full of Forgiveness for mankind inspite of their wrong-doing. And verily, your Lord is (also) Severe in punishment.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
They ask thee to hasten on the evil in preference to the good: Yet have come to pass, before them, (many) exemplary punishments! But verily thy Lord is full of forgiveness for mankind for their wrong-doing, and verily thy Lord is (also) strict in punishment.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
They ask you to hasten the evil before the good, while exemplary punishments have indeed occurred before them. But verily, your Lord is full of forgiveness for mankind, in spite of their wrongdoing. And verily, your Lord is (also) severe in punishment.

They defiantly ask you -O Muhammad- to hasten the promised punishment instead of searching out the truth and be hopeful of Allahs mercy, albeit they heard of the typical instances of the past, forming particular cases of a principle and signal instances of punishment. Nonetheless, Allah, your Creator, is indeed Forgiving. He extends His mercy and forgiveness to people despite their wrongful actions, but also, Allah, punishes severely
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(13:6) hey demand from you the hastening of evil rather than good, *14 though indeed there have been instances of exemplary punishments before them (of the wrath of God on the people who adopted the same attitude.) The fact is that your Lord shows forbearance to the people despite their transgressions, and it is also the fact that your Lord is stern in retribution.
They impatiently urge you to bring about evil before good, while there meaning
*14) This refers to the demand of the Quraish from the Holy Prophet "If you are a true Prophet of God, why don't you hasten to bring that scourge of God on us of which you have been threatening us, when we are flouting and denying you ?" They did this in different ways. Sometimes they would invoke God mockingly and say, "O Lord, settle our accounts now and do not postpone these to the Day of Resurrection" . At another time, they would say, "Our Lord, if what Muhammad says be true, and be from Thee, then stone us from the sky or send down some other scourge upon us from the sky or send down some other painful torment upon us." In this verse an answer has been given to such impudent demands of the disbelievers. They have been admonished to refrain from such foolish demands and avail of the respite that was being given to them and mend their ways, for they were incurring the wrath of God by adopting the attitude of rebellion.
They impatiently urge you to bring about evil before good, while there meaning in Urdu
