And We saved him from the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, (21:77)

﴿وَنَصَرْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ﴾
[ الأنبياء: 77]

21:77 And We saved him from the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a people of evil, so We drowned them, all together.

I saved him from the evil plot of those of his people who rejected the signs that I supported him with; those signs that pointed to his truthfulness.
Indeed, they were evil, corrupt people, and so I destroyed them all by drowning them.

We helped him against people who denied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). Verily, they were a people given to evil. So We drowned them all.

phonetic Transliteration

Wanasarnahu mina alqawmi allatheena kaththaboo biayatina innahum kanoo qawma sawin faaghraqnahum ajmaAAeena

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

We helped him against people who rejected Our Signs: truly they were a people given to Evil: so We drowned them (in the Flood) all together.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

We helped him against the people who denied Our Ayat. Verily, they were a people given to evil. So We drowned them all.
