﴿فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا﴾
[ مريم: 84]
19:84 So be not impatient over them. We only count out to them a [limited] number.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishDo not be hasty, O Messenger, in asking Allah to punish them quickly.
I am keeping a close record of their lives, until when the period of their respite comes to an end, I will punish them with what they deserve.

So make no haste against them; We only count out to them a (limited) number (of the days of the life of this world and delay their term so that they may increase in evil and sins).
