surah Yusuf aya 11 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿قَالُوا يَا أَبَانَا مَا لَكَ لَا تَأْمَنَّا عَلَىٰ يُوسُفَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَنَاصِحُونَ﴾
[ يوسف: 11]
12:11 They said, "O our father, why do you not entrust us with Joseph while indeed, we are to him sincere counselors?
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishWhen they agreed to get rid of him, they said to their father, Jacob: O our father, why do not you trust us with Joseph? We have compassion for him and we will take care of him against anything that might harm him.
We want good for him, so we will protect and look after him until he comes back to you safely.
So, what stops you from sending him with us?

They said: "O our father! Why do you not trust us with Yusuf (Joseph), - when we are indeed his well-wishers?"

Qaloo ya abana ma laka la tamanna AAala yoosufa wainna lahu lanasihoona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
They said: "O our father! why dost thou not trust us with Joseph,- seeing we are indeed his sincere well-wishers?
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
They said: "O our father! Why do you not trust us with Yusuf though we are indeed his well-wishers"
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
