surah Jinn aya 11 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ كُنَّا طَرَائِقَ قِدَدًا﴾
[ الجن: 11]
72:11 And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishAnd that we - the group of jinn-: some of us are Allah-conscious and righteous whilst some of us are disbelievers and sinners.
We are of different types and of diverse persuasions.

'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
`There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary; we are groups having different ways.'
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".

Yet among us -the Jinn- are those who are righteous, acting rightly and justly and those proceeding in different directions from that ordained by Allah

*11) That is, "Morally also there are good and bad jinn among us, and from the viewpoint of creed as well all do not follow one and the same religion, but we are divided into different groups." With these words the believing jinn want to convince the other jinn of their community that they certainly stood in need of finding out the right way and could not dispense with this need.
