﴿شَاكِرًا لِّأَنْعُمِهِ ۚ اجْتَبَاهُ وَهَدَاهُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ﴾
[ النحل: 121]
16:121 [He was] grateful for His favors. Allah chose him and guided him to a straight path.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishHe was thankful for the favours that Allah had given him.
Allah had selected Him to be a prophet and had guided him to the true religion of Islam.
