﴿لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطْنِهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ﴾
[ الصافات: 144]

English - Sahih International

37:144 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected.

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

he would have remained in the stomach of the whale until the Day of Judgement, with it having become his grave.


Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection.
