surah Ibrahim aya 18 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
14:18 The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is [that] their deeds are like ashes which the wind blows forcefully on a stormy day; they are unable [to keep] from what they earned a [single] thing. That is what is extreme error.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe righteous actions of the disbelievers, such as giving charity and having kindness and mercy towards a weak person, are like ashes on a windy day.
They are carried away by the wind and scattered all over the place until no trace of them remains.
Such are the deeds of the disbelievers, which are blown away by disbelief.
These deeds will not benefit their owners on the Day of Judgement.
Actions that are not based on faith are deviations that are far from the path of truth.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
The parable of those who disbelieve in their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a stormy day, they shall not be able to get aught of what they have earned. That is the straying, far away (from the Right Path).

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
The parable of those who reject their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a tempestuous day: No power have they over aught that they have earned: that is the straying far, far (from the goal).
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
The parable of those who disbelieved in their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a stormy day; they shall not be able to get aught of what they have earned. That is the straying, far away (from the right path).
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
14:18 The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is [that] their translate in arabic
مثل الذين كفروا بربهم أعمالهم كرماد اشتدت به الريح في يوم عاصف لا يقدرون مما كسبوا على شيء ذلك هو الضلال البعيد
سورة: إبراهيم - آية: ( 18 ) - جزء: ( 13 ) - صفحة: ( 257 )Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim
Those infidels, who deny Allah, whose physical and mental efforts are not intimately mixed with the spiritual apprehension of divine truths were born to be losers. Their efforts are useless and stand similitude exact of ashes which are exposed to violent high winds scattering them in all directions. They are unable to advantage themselves of what they have accomplished, and this is perversion in the extreme
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(14:18) The works of those who disbelieved may be likened, to the ashes which the wind scatters on a stormy day. They shall not be able to gain anything from what they did. *25 This is the extreme deviation.
The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is [that] their meaning
*25) That is, "Those who were perfidious, faithless, and disobedient to the Divine Message, and refused to adopt that Way to which the Messengers invited, will find in the end that all the deeds and earnings of their lives were as worthless as a heap of ashes. Just as each and every particle of a high mound of ashes formed during a long course of years is scattered by the wind on a stormy day, likewise all their grand works will prove on the stormy Doomsday to be no more than a mound of ashes. Their dazzling culture, their grand civilization, their wonderful kingdoms and states, their magnificent universities, their sciences and their literatures, nay, even their hypocritical worship, and so-called virtuous deeds, their charitable and reformative works of which they were very proud in the worldly lift, shall prove to be as worthless as a heap of ashes, and will be scattered by the "Storm" of the Day of Resurrection. So much so that there shall not remain a single particle of their works worthy of being placed in the Divine scale on that Day in their favour.

جن لوگوں نے اپنے رب سے کفر کیا ہے ان کے اعمال کی مثال اُس راکھ کی سی ہے جسے ایک طوفانی دن کی آندھی نے اڑا دیا ہو وہ اپنے کیے کا کچھ بھی پھل نہ پا سکیں گے یہی پرلے درجے کی گم گشتگی ہے
