83:18 No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe matter is not as you thought - that there will be no reckoning or recompense.
The book of the people of obedience will be in Illiyyun.

Nay! Verily, the Record (writing of the deeds) of Al-Abrar (the pious who fear Allah and avoid evil), is (preserved) in 'Illiyyun.

Kalla inna kitaba alabrari lafee AAilliyyeena

Nay, verily the record of the Righteous is (preserved) in 'Illiyin.

Nay! Verily, the Record of Al-Abrar (the righteous believers) is (preserved) in `Illiyyin.
