surah Muddathir aya 43 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ﴾
[ المدثر: 43]
74:43 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed,
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe disbelievers will answer them saying: We were not of those who discharged the obligatory prayer in the worldly life.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers)
phonetic Transliteration
Qaloo lam naku mina almusalleena
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
They will say: "We were not of those who prayed;
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer the Salah,"
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
74:43 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, translate in arabic
Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim
We were not among those who engaged in worship. they will admit
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(74:43) They will answer: 'We were not among those who observed Prayer, *33
They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, meaning
*33) That is, "We were not of those who after having believed in Allah and His Messenger and His Boo , performed the foremost duty imposed by Allah, i.e. the Prayer. " Here, it should be understood well that unless a person has believed he cannot offer the Prayer at all. Therefore, one's being of those who performed the Prayer, by itself implies that one is a believer. But by attributing one's going to Hell to one's not being of those who performed their Prayer, it has been made explicit that one cannot escape Hell even after having believed if one dces not perform one's Prayers regularly.
They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, meaning in Urdu
وہ کہیں گے "ہم نماز پڑھنے والوں میں سے نہ تھے
