surah Yunus aya 45 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ كَأَن لَّمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا سَاعَةً مِّنَ النَّهَارِ يَتَعَارَفُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ﴾
[ يونس: 45]
10:45 And on the Day when He will gather them, [it will be] as if they had not remained [in the world] but an hour of the day, [and] they will know each other. Those will have lost who denied the meeting with Allah and were not guided
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishOn the day that Allah gathers people on the Day of Judgement, to bring them to account, it will be as if they had lived on earth and then waited after death for the Day of Judgement for only an hour, and no more.
They will recognise each other on that day, but then their acquaintances will be cut off from them because of the intensity of the terrors they witness on the Day of Judgement.
The losers will be those who rejected the meeting with their Lord on the Day of Judgement and who did not believe in the day or resurrection so that they could safeguard themselves from loss.

And on the Day when He shall gather (resurrect) them together, (it will be) as if they had not stayed (in the life of this world and graves, etc.) but an hour of a day. They will recognise each other. Ruined indeed will be those who denied the meeting with Allah, and were not guided.

Wayawma yahshuruhum kaan lam yalbathoo illa saAAatan mina alnnahari yataAAarafoona baynahum qad khasira allatheena kaththaboo biliqai Allahi wama kanoo muhtadeena
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
One day He will gather them together: (It will be) as if they had tarried but an hour of a day: they will recognise each other: assuredly those will be lost who denied the meeting with Allah and refused to receive true guidance.

And on the Day when He shall gather them together, (it will be) as if they had not stayed (in the life of this world and graves) but an hour of a day. They will recognize each other. Ruined indeed will be those who denied the meeting with Allah and were not guided.
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".

On the Day He throngs them before Him for judgement, they shall bring back to the mind their life below appearing to them, then, as though it had lasted for no more than one hour of the time of daylight, and they shall recognize each other by the distinctive features, the appearance and the character. There and then shall the losers be those who denied Resurrection and the audience of Allah, who were misdirected in action and thought and had the wrong purpose and intention
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(10:45) (But today they are oblivious of everything except enjoyment of worldly life.) And on the Day when He will muster all men together, they will feel as though they had been in the world no more than an hour of the day to get acquainted with one another. *53 (It will then become evident that) those who called the lie to meeting with Allah *54 were utter losers and were not rightly-directed. underlies this sharp remark is the faint hope that perhaps such people would be shaken out of their slumber.
And on the Day when He will gather them, [it will be] meaning

A time will come when such people will, on the one hand, come face to face with the infinite life of the Hereafter, and on the other, they will took back at their past worldly life and realize how puny it was as compared to the life ahead. It is then that they will comprehend what folly they have committed by ruining their eternal future for the sake of ephemeral pleasures and benefits in this worldly life.
*54). This refers to the unbelievers' rejection that a time will come when everyone will have to stand before God for His judgement.
And on the Day when He will gather them, [it will be] meaning in Urdu
(آج یہ دُنیا کی زندگی میں مست ہیں) اور جس روز اللہ اِن کو اکٹھا کرے گا تو (یہی دُنیا کی زندگی اِنہیں ایسی محسُوس ہوگی) گویا یہ محض ایک گھڑی بھر آپس میں جان پہچان کرنے کو ٹھیرے تھے (اس وقت تحقیق ہو جائے گا کہ) فی الواقع سخت گھاٹے میں رہے وہ لوگ جنہوں نے اللہ کی ملاقات کو جھٹلایا اور ہرگز وہ راہِ راست پر نہ تھے
