﴿فَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُم بِهِ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا﴾
[ الفرقان: 52]
25:52 So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishSo do not follow the disbelievers in their demands for you to be soft with them and in the proposals that they put forward.
Strive against them with this Qur’ān that is revealed to you a mighty struggle by being patient over their harm and tolerating difficulties in calling them to Allah.

*67) The Arabic words Jihad-i-Kabir imply three meanings:
(1) To exert one's utmost for the cause of Islam,
(2) To dedicate all one's resources to this cause, and
(3) To tight against the enemies of Islam on all possible fronts with all one's resources in order to raise high the "Word of Allah". This will include jihad with one's tongue, pen, wealth, life and every other available weapon .
