Verse 77 from surah Al-Furqan

﴿قُلْ مَا يَعْبَأُ بِكُمْ رَبِّي لَوْلَا دُعَاؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًا﴾
[ الفرقان: 77]

English - Sahih International

25:77 Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent.

Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Say - O Messenger, to the disbelievers who persist in their disbelief: My Lord will never care about you because of some benefit that He gets from your obedience.
If it were not because He calls you for your benefit He would not have cared about you.
Now since you rejected that which the Messengers brought from your Lord, the recompense for such rejection will be inseparable from you.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

Say (O Muhammad SAW to the disbelievers): "My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him. But now you have indeed denied (Him). So the torment will be yours for ever (inseparable permanent punishment)."

phonetic Transliteration

Qul ma yaAAbao bikum rabbee lawla duAAaokum faqad kaththabtum fasawfa yakoonu lizaman

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!"

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

Say: "My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him. But now you have indeed denied. So the torment will be yours forever."
