Surah Qasas ayat 20 Tafsir Quran 28:20

﴿وَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِّنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّ الْمَلَأَ يَأْتَمِرُونَ بِكَ لِيَقْتُلُوكَ فَاخْرُجْ إِنِّي لَكَ مِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ﴾
[ القصص: 20]

28:20 And a man came from the farthest end of the city, running. He said, "O Moses, indeed the eminent ones are conferring over you [intending] to kill you, so leave [the city]; indeed, I am to you of the sincere advisors."

And a man who was the only believer among Pharaoh’s kinsfolk came from the outskirts of the city hastening walking fast via a route quicker than theirs. He said ‘O Moses lo! the council of Pharaoh’s folk are conspiring discussing the means to slay you. So leave the city. Truly I am speaking to you in good faith’ in bidding you to leave.

Meantime there came a man from the far end of the city. He said to Mussa: The chiefs are convening to deliberate upon killing you, therefore you had better leave the city. I hope you do realize that I am offering you a sincere advice

And there came a man running, from the farthest end of the city.
He said: "O Musa! Verily, the chiefs are taking counsel together about you, to kill you, so escape.
Truly, I am one of the good advisers to you.
( 20 ) وَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ ( And there came a man ) He is described as being a man because he had the courage to take a different route, a shorter route than those who were sent after Musa, so he reached Musa first and said to him: "O Musa, إِنَّ الْمَلَأَ يَأْتَمِرُونَ بِكَ ( Verily, the chiefs are taking counsel together about you. )," meaning, 'they are consulting with one another about you.' لِيَقْتُلُوكَ فَاخْرُجْ ( to kill you, so escape. ) means, from this land. إِنِّي لَكَ مِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ ( Truly, I am one of the good advisers to you. )

(28:20) Then, a man came running from the other end of the city; *30 who said, "O Moses, the chiefs are holding consultations to kill you, so leave this place: I am your well-wisher."

And a man came from the farthest meaning

*30) This happened when in the second day's fight, the secret of the murder became known and the Egyptian informed the authorities about the case accordingly.

 

And there came a man running, from the farthest end of the city.
He said: "O Musa! Verily, the chiefs are taking counsel together about you, to kill you, so escape.
Truly, I am one of the good advisers to you.
( 20 ) وَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ ( And there came a man ) He is described as being a man because he had the courage to take a different route, a shorter route than those who were sent after Musa, so he reached Musa first and said to him: "O Musa, إِنَّ الْمَلَأَ يَأْتَمِرُونَ بِكَ ( Verily, the chiefs are taking counsel together about you. )," meaning, 'they are consulting with one another about you.' لِيَقْتُلُوكَ فَاخْرُجْ ( to kill you, so escape. ) means, from this land. إِنِّي لَكَ مِنَ النَّاصِحِينَ ( Truly, I am one of the good advisers to you. )

( And a man ) Ezekiel ( came from the uttermost part ) and it is said from the centre ( of the city, running. He said: O Moses! Lo! the chiefs ) the family of the man killed ( take counsel against thee ) they agreed ( to slay thee; therefore escape ) from the city. ( Lo! I am of those who give thee good advice ) I am of those who feel pity for you.

And there came a man running, from the farthest end of the city. He said: "O Musa (Moses)! Verily, the chiefs are taking counsel together about you, to kill you, so escape. Truly, I am to you of those who give sincere advice."
