Surah TaHa ayat 3 Tafsir Quran 20:3

﴿إِلَّا تَذْكِرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰ﴾
[ طه: 3]

20:3 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] -

but We have revealed it only to remind therewith him who fears God;

But to serve as a reminder to those who keep in awe of Allah and entertain the profound reverence dutiful to Him

(20:3) This is an Admonition for every such person who fears (God). *1

But only as a reminder for those meaning

*1) This verse makes plain the meaning of the previous one.
The object of the Revelation of the Qur'an is riot to make the Holy Prophet do something impossible and to put him to unnecessary distress by demanding from him to imbue the hearts of the obdurate people with Faith, but to admonish those people who have fear of Allah.
Therefore the Holy Prophet should not waste his efforts on those people who have no fear of God left in them, and who do not bother at all about what is Truth and what is falsehood.

 

( But as a reminder ) an admonition ( unto him who feareth ) unto him who embraces Islam, and We have not revealed it to you in order that you tire yourself,

But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah).
