11:57 But if they turn away, [say], "I have already conveyed that with which I was sent to you. My Lord will give succession to a people other than you, and you will not harm Him at all. Indeed my Lord is, over all things, Guardian."

Quran 11:57 Tafsir Al-Jalalayn
And if you turn away tawallaw one of the two tā’ letters of tatawallaw has been omitted that is if you object still I have conveyed to you that wherewith I was sent to you and my Lord will set in place of you a folk other than you. You cannot injure Him in any way by your idolatry. Truly My Lord is Preserver Watcher over all things’.
Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim
Should they counsel deaf, said Allah, then say to them: I have conveyed to you, my people, the divine message entrusted to me, and you must realize that Allah is indeed capable of replacing you by others and never can you harm Him nor frustrate. Allah, my Creator, is indeed Vigilant and He keeps a vigilant eye upon the whole and upon all in all
Quran 11:57 Tafsir Ibn Kathir
( My Lord will make another people succeed you, ) This refers to a group of people who will worship Allah alone, without associating anything with Him.
This also implies that the polytheists do not bother Allah and they do not harm Him in the least with their disbelief.
To the contrary, their disbelief merely harms their own selves.
( Surely, my Lord is Guardian over all things. ) This means that Allah is a Witness and Guardian over the statements of His servants and their actions.
He will give them due recompense for their actions.
If they do good deeds, He will reward them with good.
If they do evil, He will punish them with evil.
The Destruction of the People of `Ad and the Salvation of Those among Them Who believed
( And when Our commandment came, ) This is referring to the barren wind with which Allah destroyed them, to the very last of them.
The mercy and kindness of Allah, the Exalted saved Hud and his followers from this terrible punishment.
g( Such were `Ad (people ).
They rejected the Ayat of their Lord) This means they disbelieved in the proofs and revelations ( of Allah ) and they disobeyed the Messengers of Allah ﷺ.
This is due to the fact that whoever disbelieves in a Prophet, then verily, he has disbelieved in all of the Prophets, peace be upon them.
There is no difference between any one of them, in the sense that it is necessary to believe in all of them.
Therefore, `Ad disbelieved in Hud and their disbelief was considered disbelief in all of the Messengers.
( and followed the command of every proud, obstinate. ) This means that they abandoned following their rightly guided Messenger and they followed the command of every proud, obstinate person.
Thus, they were followed in this life by a curse from Allah and His believing servants whenever they are mentioned.
On the Day of Resurrection a call will be made against them in front of witnesses.
( Verily, `Ad disbelieved in their Lord. )
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(11:57) If you, then, turn away (from the truth), know that I have delivered the message with which I was sent to you. Now my Lord will set up another people in place of you and you shall in no way be able to harm Him. *64 Surely my Lord keeps a watch over everything.'
But if they turn away, [say], "I meaning
*64).
This is a rejoinder to the unbelievers' statement that they would in no way forsake their deities and believe in the teachings of Hud.

( And if ye turn away ) from faith and repentance, ( still I have conveyed unto you that wherewith I was sent unto you ) of the message and about your destruction, ( and my Lord will set in place of you a folk other than you ) who are better and more obedient than you. ( Ye cannot injure Him at all ) your destruction will not harm Allah in any way. ( Lo! my Lord is Guardian ) and Witness ( over all things ) related to your works.

"So if you turn away, still I have conveyed the Message with which I was sent to you. My Lord will make another people succeed you, and you will not harm Him in the least. Surely, my Lord is Guardian over all things."
