Verse 109 from surah Al-Kahf

﴿قُل لَّوْ كَانَ الْبَحْرُ مِدَادًا لِّكَلِمَاتِ رَبِّي لَنَفِدَ الْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَن تَنفَدَ كَلِمَاتُ رَبِّي وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِ مَدَدًا﴾
[ الكهف: 109]

English - Sahih International

18:109 Say, "If the sea were ink for [writing] the words of my Lord, the sea would be exhausted before the words of my Lord were exhausted, even if We brought the like of it as a supplement."

Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Say - O Messenger: the words of my Lord are many.
If the ocean were to be ink to write them with, the ocean water would finish before His words come to an end, and if I were to bring more oceans they would also finish.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind). "If the sea were ink for (writing) the Words of my Lord, surely, the sea would be exhausted before the Words of my Lord would be finished, even if we brought (another sea) like it for its aid."

Qul law kana albahru midadan likalimati rabbee lanafida albahru qabla an tanfada kalimatu rabbee walaw jina bimithlihi madadan

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

Say: "If the ocean were ink (wherewith to write out) the words of my Lord, sooner would the ocean be exhausted than would the words of my Lord, even if we added another ocean like it, for its aid."

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

Say: "If the sea were ink for the Words of my Lord, surely, the sea would be exhausted before the Words of my Lord would be finished, even if We brought like it for its aid."

(18:109) (O Muhammad), say to them, "If the waters of the ocean were to become ink to write the Words *79 of my Lord, it would exhaust but the Words of my Lord will not exhaust: nay, even if We brought as much ink again, it will not suffice for that" .
