surah Tariq aya 17 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا﴾
[ الطارق: 17]
86:17 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishSo give respite, O Messenger, to these disbelievers.
Give them respite for a short while, and do not seek to hasten their punishment and destruction.

So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while.

Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile).
