surah Nahl aya 51 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿۞ وَقَالَ اللَّهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا إِلَٰهَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ ۖ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۖ فَإِيَّايَ فَارْهَبُونِ﴾
[ النحل: 51]
16:51 And Allah has said, "Do not take for yourselves two deities. He is but one God, so fear only Me."
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishAllah, may He be glorified, said to all His servants: Do not take two beings of worship.
The being deserving of worship is only one who has no second nor any partner.
So fear Me only and do not fear others besides Me.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
And Allah said (O mankind!): "Take not ilahain (two gods in worship, etc.). Verily, He (Allah) is (the) only One Ilah (God). Then, fear Me (Allah) much [and Me (Alone), i.e. be away from all kinds of sins and evil deeds that Allah has forbidden and do all that Allah has ordained and worship none but Allah].
phonetic Transliteration
Waqala Allahu la tattakhithoo ilahayni ithnayni innama huwa ilahun wahidun faiyyaya fairhabooni
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
Allah has said: "Take not (for worship) two gods: for He is just One Allah: then fear Me (and Me alone)."
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
And Allah said "Do not worship two gods. Indeed, He (Allah) is only One God. Then fear Me Alone.
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
16:51 And Allah has said, "Do not take for yourselves two deities. He translate in arabic
وقال الله لا تتخذوا إلهين اثنين إنما هو إله واحد فإياي فارهبون

And Allah has emphasized His Oneness and Uniqueness. He repeatedly said: Do not Worship two gods, He is One and only, and therefore, fear Me and keep in awe of Me alone
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(16:51) Allah has enjoined: "You shall not take to yourselves two gods; *43 for He is the only One God: so fear Me."
And Allah has said, "Do not take for yourselves two deities. He meaning
*43) Negation of two gods by itself negates the existence of more than two gods.
