surah Assaaffat aya 56 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿قَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ﴾
[ الصافات: 56]
37:56 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishHe will say: “O my companion! By Allah, you were close to dooming me to the hellfire by calling me towards disbelief and denying the resurrection!”
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me.
phonetic Transliteration
Qala taAllahi in kidta laturdeeni
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition!
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me."
