surah Yasin aya 66 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُوا الصِّرَاطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ﴾
[ يس: 66]
36:66 And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to [find] the path, and how could they see?
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishIf I had willed to take away their sight I would have done so and they will not be able to see, just as I sealed their mouths and they were not able to speak.
They would have then rushed towards the path to cross over it into Paradise, but it is unlikely that they will cross over when their sight is gone.

And if it had been Our Will, We would surely have wiped out (blinded) their eyes, so that they would struggle for the Path, how then would they see?

Walaw nashao latamasna AAala aAAyunihim faistabaqoo alssirata faanna yubsiroona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
If it had been our Will, We could surely have blotted out their eyes; then should they have run about groping for the Path, but how could they have seen?

And if it had been Our will, We would surely have wiped out their eyes, so that they would struggle for the path, how then would they see
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
