And they will call, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end (43:77)

﴿وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّاكِثُونَ﴾
[ الزخرف: 77]

43:77 And they will call, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain."

They will call out to Mālik, the gatekeeper of the hellfire, saying: “O Mālik! Our Lord should make us die so that we are relieved of this punishment!” Mālik will answer them saying, “You are to remain forever in the punishment.
You will not die, nor will the punishment stop from you.
”

And they will cry: "O Malik (Keeper of Hell)! Let your Lord make an end of us." He will say: "Verily you shall abide forever."

Wanadaw ya maliku liyaqdi AAalayna rabbuka qala innakum makithoona

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

They will cry: "O Malik! would that thy Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Nay, but ye shall abide!"

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

And they will cry: "O Malik (keeper of Hell)! Let your Lord make an end of us." He will say: "Verily, you shall abide forever."
