surah Sad aya 79 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ﴾
[ ص: 79]
38:79 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishIblis said: “Give me respite and do not make me die until the day You raise Your servants”.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
[Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected."
phonetic Transliteration
Qala rabbi faanthirnee ila yawmi yubAAathoona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
(Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised."
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
[Iblis] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected."
