38:79 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Iblis said: “Give me respite and do not make me die until the day You raise Your servants”.

[Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected."

Qala rabbi faanthirnee ila yawmi yubAAathoona
