surah Kahf aya 87 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿قَالَ أَمَّا مَن ظَلَمَ فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُهُ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ فَيُعَذِّبُهُ عَذَابًا نُّكْرًا﴾
[ الكهف: 87]
18:87 He said, "As for one who wrongs, we will punish him. Then he will be returned to his Lord, and He will punish him with a terrible punishment.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishDhu’l-Qarnayn said: “As for the one who associates partners with Allah and persists in this, I shall punish him by killing him in this life, then he will return to his Lord on the Day of Judgment and He shall then punish him with a terrible punishment.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
He said: "As for him (a disbeliever in the Oneness of Allah) who does wrong, we shall punish him; and then he will be brought back unto his Lord; Who will punish him with a terrible torment (Hell).
phonetic Transliteration
Qala amma man thalama fasawfa nuAAaththibuhu thumma yuraddu ila rabbihi fayuAAaththibuhu AAathaban nukran
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
He said: "Whoever doth wrong, him shall we punish; then shall he be sent back to his Lord; and He will punish him with a punishment unheard-of (before).
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
He said: "As for him who does wrong, we shall punish him, and then he will be brought back unto his Lord, Who will punish him with a terrible torment (Hell)."
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
