Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the (3:98)

﴿قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَىٰ مَا تَعْمَلُونَ﴾
[ آل عمران: 98]

3:98 Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while Allah is Witness over what you do?"

O Prophet, ask the People of the Scripture, the Jews and the Christians, why they reject the proof of the truth of your prophet-hood, including the proofs that came in the Torah and the Gospel, when Allah watches over everything you do, witnessing it, and will reward you accordingly.

Say: "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you reject the Ayat of Allah (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) while Allah is Witness to what you do?"

Qul ya ahla alkitabi lima takfuroona biayati Allahi waAllahu shaheedun AAala ma taAAmaloona

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

Say: "O People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, when Allah is Himself witness to all ye do?"

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

Say: "O People of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you reject the Ayat of Allah, while Allah is Witness to what you do"
